Why aren't you a real estate investor? After all, more millionaires have been created from real estate investing than any other economic endeavor in this world. Well, I've compiled three main reasons why people aren't already real estate investing. The first is a big one. They're concerned they don't have enough money. Well, in a way, that makes sense, because traditional real estate investing involves big down payments and lots of money is needed. However, with creative real estate investing, it's possible to do deals even starting from zero. How do I know? Because I was there once. When I first got started, I went homeless, living out of my truck in Nashville, Tennessee. Today, I live on a beachfront, wonderful home in Florida, living the life of my dreams, and I started from nothing. And so if I can do it, you can. There's a ton of rags to riches stories out there in real estate investing. It's because real estate is so unique in that you can control deals with contracts. And if you've got the paperwork right, you can literally flip or sell those deals even without ever having to own it. They're going to lose their shirt. That's a healthy fear. I get that because you know what? You can make a lot of mistakes in real estate, and you really can do things that cripple you. In fact, a statistic that is hard to believe but absolutely true is in the history of us working with apprentices, only a few deals have ever even broken even, never mind lost money, and it's because they didn't listen to us. This is another big one. So maybe they have the money. Maybe they're not worried about the fears of making a mistake. But they say they don't have enough time. Well, none of us have enough time these days, do we? We're all too busy. But the reality is real estate is unique in that it allows you to do deals part-time very successfully. And you don't have to feel like you have to be a full-time investor. Because real estate deals take a long time to close. It takes a long time for the title company to do their title search and appraisers to do their appraisal and the new buyers to get their loans and all those sorts of things. There's a lot of waiting around time in real estate. A lot of my most successful apprentices that I've worked with over the years all started with a full-time busy schedule. And they were able to do this on the side and work their way in to becoming a full-time investor. It's a great business because you can do it part-time. All right, so those are the three main reasons why people aren't real estate investors. And as we've talked about, money is not really a problem if you know what you're doing. Making mistakes is not a problem if you follow simple rules. And three, time is not an issue primarily because real estate is ideally suited for people that want to do it part-time.
